More fun winter photography!

I don’t know what else to say about how much I love winter photography! Shooting these images were so fun. And not only was shooting them fun, but I thoroughly enjoyed editing as well.

One thing that I noticed while editing these photos was that winter photography can be a little tricky. The snow is so bright that a lot of times it can get blown out when the rest of your photo is well exposed. So to get a little bit more detail in the snow, I brought down my whites and highlights in Adobe Lightroom. This brought out the true beauty in winter photography; the detail of the snow on the ground, in the air and on tree branches.

Here are some more photos from my retreat. These were taken in Victor, Idaho around the wonderful cabin we stayed in.

Enjoy!
