Oh maternity photos, how I love you. Maternity and engagement photo shoots are my absolute favorites. I’m a hopeless romantic so of course engagement photos make the top of my list. But I can tell you there is a whole other kind of romance to maternity photos. Welcoming a new life and celebrating the time spent with that little one as part of you is nothing to shy away from documenting!

I will admit, when it was my own turn to get in front of the camera to shoot some maternity photos, I wasn’t necessarily ecstatic to see some of the places I gained weight or changed in various ways. But looking back, I am so glad to have the gorgeous shots of my husband and I together just before our little one joined us. 

This sweet mama was about to welcome her third child but this was her first maternity session! I’m so glad we made the decision to get out there and get these shots for her. She’s  beautiful to begin with but add in the baby belly, a gorgeous dress and that South Mountain scenery – magic!
