Photos from the graduate shoot are still coming, hooray!
Considering that I’ve written two posts about this photo shoot already, I’m sure you all know my feeling on it by now. In case you somehow missed it, this has been one of my favorite shoots of the year. The graduate shoot helped me to really learn how to pose people. My skills have definitely improved in that department.
One of the best tips I heard was when you are working with women, live by the phrase “if it bends, bend it”. By bending arms, legs and different parts of the body in front of the camera, women are able to more easily show off their figure and get a flattering photo. When working with men, there are a lot of 90 degree angles and squares. These more masculine shapes and angles lead to a masculine photo.
Again, I was shooting with continuous light, speed lights, strobes and reflectors for this shoot and I loved working with them all. While outdoor I was at 1/200 f/ 8.0 and 100 ISO again.
