Ah, the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. One of my favorite locations for any photoshoot. This beautiful park has it all; cactus, beautiful greens, sage brush that turns golden in the sun light, and to top it all off, gorgeous ponds. 

I was happy to know about the Riparian Preserve when my client said she wanted greenery in the setting of her family photos. Being an Arizona based photographer, you can imagine that I have many more options than most when a client is looking for a desert setting. A green location can be a bit trickier. Luckily, we were shooting these photos in the winter and the riparian preserve was beautiful and lush. 

We met at 7 am for these beautiful shots. We were all freezing but we had pushed through and made it happen in a half hour! This family photoshoot wouldn’t have turned out so well if they all weren’t great sports about the cold. We Arizonans definitely aren’t used to it! We had a great time and then I climbed back into my car after we wrapped and went for some hot chocolate. Check out some on my favorite shots below.
